Exhibition Design
Curation and exhibition design is an integral part of our work, reflecting our acute interest in the cultural aspects of art and architecture, and the potential of design to communicate ideas
Our fascination with storytelling and the power of narratives combined with the resonance of objects and artefacts make exhibition design challenging and rewarding work.
CHA have designed and curated high-profile exhibitions on artists and architects for institutions including the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Sir John Soane’s Museum. We’ve also exhibited our own work in the UK and internationally in settings including the Venice Biennale and the Oslo Triennial.
Our experience encompasses both two-dimensional and three-dimensional work and responds to the varied constraints of conservation and display. Our approach is highly collaborative and we enjoy working with clients and curators as well as other specialists including graphic designers, lighting consultants, conservators and exhibiting artists.
